DRY EYES: WHAT’S TO BE DONE ABOUT IT?

Canadian winter is upon us! This cold, dry winter weather often causes dry skin, but it can also make our eyes dry. Many people suffer from Dry Eye Syndrome without realizing that this is the cause of their symptoms. This is especially true in the winter months when the cold air holds less moisture. Dry Eye Syndrome (also known as Ocular Surface Disease) is a condition that can cause redness, burning, itching, gritty or watery eyes, and intermittent blurring of our vision.
